Host/Systems Integration

Host / Systems Integration

Keep your mainframe investment, and extend its power with Internet technology. The knowledge contained in your legacy system can be shared across your enterprise whether it's down the hall or around the world.

DataHouse has been in the information technology business since 1975, so we can pair our knowledge of early systems with the most reliable technology available today. Our integration teams are well-versed in a breadth of skills.

Competitive Advantages

Host Integration can give your organization the edge it needs to succeed in highly competitive markets.

  • Cost-effective IT Solution - Continue to benefit from IT investments by leveraging existing legacy systems. Upgrading through Host Integration is more cost-effective than overhauling your business system.
  • Empowered Workforce - Through secured Internet connections, your entire staff can access important applications anytime and anywhere. The net result is a workforce that is productively moving the organization forward.
  • Intuitive Interface - Unlike text-based programs common to early software applications, a modernized system employs a Web interface, presenting users with elements that are familiar to them. This makes training and knowledge transfer much easier.
  • Efficient Business Flow - Web-based screens employ multiple functions, eliminating single-function screens that are typical to older applications.

Services

Host Integration services include:

  • Requirements definition and re-engineering analysis
  • Architecture design and implementation
  • System design and development
  • Software development
  • Enterprise application development and support
  • System installation and implementation

Over the years, DataHouse has helped numerous clients upgrade their systems on a variety of platforms. Here are examples:

  • Hawaii State Department of Labor and Industrial Relations - DataHouse helped the Unemployment Insurance Division become the first to automate its system, back in 1984 on a mainframe system. Over the years, UI has been able to keep its mainframe investment and have DataHouse extend its data to end users via an Interactive Voice Response system and the Web.
  • Hawaii State Judiciary - Web site visitors are able to open query sessions with the State Judiciary's mainframe system. DataHouse converted the system to IBM Host Publisher.
  • Research Corp. of the University of Hawaii - Researchers use a Web browser to retrieve budget reports and other project information stored on an AS/400 database.
